Ms. Andrea Fuentes is a dedicated and passionate professional with over 6 years of experience planning, executing, and assessing security cooperation programs. Currently, Andrea is a Program Analyst with Huntington Ingalls and is currently leading US Southern Command’s Exercise and Training assessments portfolio. Prior to her role with the Training and Exercise division, Andrea served as the Human Rights Analyst for US Southern Command’s Human Rights Office. She worked alongside Partner Nation military and security forces in Central/South America and the Caribbean to support the institutionalization of human rights, policies, doctrine and training, operational legal capacity, and cooperation with civil society. In addition, she also supported the management and sustainment of both the Countering Trafficking in Persons program and the Leahy Law portfolio. Andrea also has experience working in the US Southern Command’s Office of Strategic Communications, where she assisted in working with the US interagency to integrate and align messaging efforts and ensure a shared understanding of the US Southern Command's vision, mission, and objectives to achieve unity of effort. Andrea holds a Bachelor’s in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Miami and a Master’s from the University of Miami’s International Administration program.
