Growing Miami’s Talent in Public Safety

The University of Miami is committed to supporting local talent and growing Miami’s professional base in Public Safety Management and International Administration. To that end, we have collaborated with Miami Dade College (MDC) to establish an articulation agreement that allows qualifying MDC graduates with a bachelor’s degree in public safety management to seamlessly transfer to a master’s degree in international administration at UM with a special tuition waiver.

Students graduating from MDC’s School of Justice, Public Safety and Law Studies with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Safety Management and a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher may apply to the University of Miami’s Master of Arts in International Administration (MAIA) program.  If admitted, the UM program may provide a 50% tuition waiver for 30 graduate level credits where students can earn their master’s degree in one calendar year, if enrolled full-time.

There are a limited number of spots available. For more information, please contact the MAIA program at maiaadmissions@miami.edu.
